UNA MALAN
For Una Malan, beauty has never been about decoration.
It has always been about feeling.
The warmth of timber beneath your hand.
The softness of a beautifully woven textile.
The quiet texture of natural plaster as light moves across its surface.
The calm that comes from living with objects chosen with intention.
These are the moments that shape how we experience home.
This is the philosophy that defines The House of Una Malan.
The House was founded on a simple belief.
Design begins with how something feels. Everything else follows.
Every collection begins not with a trend or a product, but with a search for authenticity.
Furniture that invites conversation.
Textiles that invite touch.
Objects that reveal their character over time.
Materials that become more beautiful through living.
Together they create what Una calls Sensorial Living.
The pleasure of living with beautiful materials.
Not simply seeing them.
Living with them.
Touching them.
Watching them soften.
Watching them develop character.
Experiencing them every day.
The House of Una Malan brings together original collections alongside a carefully curated selection of exceptional artisans whose philosophies share the same commitment to craftsmanship, authenticity and enduring beauty.
Every piece is either thoughtfully designed or carefully chosen.
Not because it is beautiful on its own.
But because it contributes to something greater.
An atmosphere.
A feeling.
A sense of quiet.
Because the most enduring interiors are shaped through intention, not accumulation.
This philosophy extends beyond the collections themselves.
Through Una Casa Privada in Los Angeles and Miami, with Atlanta opening soon, the House invites architects, interior designers and homeowners to experience its collections within beautifully lived homes.
These are not traditional showrooms.
They are places where furniture is sat in.
Tables become the centre of conversation.
Textiles invite touch.
Morning light transforms natural materials throughout the day.
Because the finest collections are never fully understood in isolation.
They are understood through living.
Born in London and now based in Los Angeles, Una began her career in interior design before founding The House of Una Malan.
Today she curates and designs furniture, textiles and objects while collaborating with exceptional artisans from around the world, each selected for a shared belief in authenticity, craftsmanship and timeless design.
Her work is guided by one simple question:
Does it belong?
When every material has found its place...
When every proportion feels resolved...
When nothing distracts...
A sense of quiet emerges.
Only then is it complete.
The House of Una Malan exists to create furniture, textiles and objects that enrich the experience of everyday living.
Because the most memorable homes are not simply admired.
They are experienced.
