Byron Vase in Dove Greige 1
Byron Vase in Dove Greige 1
Crafted in Los Angeles, each piece is individually thrown, pulled, shaped and trimmed on the wheel by hand by a single master potter. Created from a lump of B-mix with grog clay, this piece goes through two firing processes. First, it is bisque fired to remove all moisture and harden its form. It’s then hand-dipped twice in a milky, matte glaze, placed back in the kiln and fired again for at least 12 hours at around 2400 degrees Fahrenheit. The tactile result of this combination of clays and glaze is at once elegant and rustic.
Each item is entirely unique, its final form dictated only by Tad’s mood, inspiration or fortuitous quirk that occur in the moment while at the wheel.
