ECC Table System
Engineered Cementitious Composition (ECC) and Recycled Foam
Comprised of over 90 percent non-virgin materials, the ECC Table System features two modular tables that can be configured into versatile compositions suited to both indoor and outdoor use.
ECC resembles, but is more elastic and less brittle than, concrete, and ideal for the building of furniture. It uses recycled glass as an aggregate and recycled fiber as a reinforcing agent.
The structural properties of ECC make it possible to use it as a skin around a lightweight recycled foam core. Foam is replaced with solid, or near-solid ECC to optimize weight distribution in portions of the pedestals.
The ECC Table System is made in collaboration with Stacklab's regional network of artisans and manufacturers in Toronto

•Note: Do not use concentrated soap or cleaning detergent
•Recommended cleaner: A mixture of mild liquid soap (2 tablespoons) and water (4 cups).
•Soft cloth
•Feather Duster
•Never use substances that leave traces (waxes or oils for instance) which yellow or leave resin.
•Do not use any abrasive substances (aggressive cleaners, scouring powder or solvents)
•Dust can easily be removed using a feather duster. Alternatively, a slightly damp cloth can be used.
•Remove spilt liquids immediately with an absorbent, moistened cloth.
•Coffee and tea stains are best removed by applying an undiluted mild cleaner directly to a damp cloth. Only apply a little pressure whilst cleaning and wiping.
•Ink, fruit and felt tip pen stains, tea, coffee, red wine and mustard should not be left on the surface and must be removed immediately.Intensive exposure to ink must be avoided at all costs.
Precautions:
•Heat marks: Intense heat can lead to changes on the surface. Be sure to use coasters underneath containers with hot contents.
•In case of spill, wipe up fluids (especially acidic fruit juices and alcoholic drinks) immediately and completely.
•Humidity can easily penetrate the surface. Always use coasters, especially in the case of chilled drinks.
