Echoing moments of convergence along the shore

The places where the sand meets the sea are gateways between realms, the spaces between states, the confluence of natural forces in constant motion. Haberdashery were inspired to immortalise this duality in sculptural installations of luxurious form and ethereal light.

Cast crystal ripples have been designed to represent the undulating forms of flowing water and the sweep of the dunes. Their individual form and shapes play with light, creating patterns across their surfaces while casting light around them. Water has been interpreted through frosted or clear translucent crystal, while sand ripples employ the same materials finished in luxurious gold or platinum glazes. The finishes are intended to maximise reflections of intricate light and colour.

Brought together in formations, multiple ripples achieve a floating effect through beautiful collective shapes, suspended almost invisibly by microfine threads, attached to minimal ceiling plates or individual micro roses. Integrated downlights in the ceiling plates or suspended micro pendants illuminate the compositions, creating sublime patterns of light reflected from the ripples and radiating across the shape. The sculptures are arranged in Shorelines, Rolling Waves and Cascading waves, expressing different convergent moments of sand and sea.

All compositions are available in variations of size, form and numbers of ripples. Personalisation is available through Haberdashery’s custom design service to ensure the sculpture achieves maximum impact in any environment.
